Dunk, dry and then style. Easy!

Frequently asked questions

Q: How do I store my hair?
Always lay them flat and untangled. When carrying them around in your handbag use a loose pouch made of natural material like silk or cotton or a mix of both.

Q: How often do I wash my Rows?
Once every 3-6 months depending on how often you wear them and how tangled/matted they get.

You won’t need to wash your Rows very often, as you will not sleep, or workout with them in.

Q: How do I wash my extensions?
When washing, only use a 'dunking' motion. Use a small amount of your favourite shampoo, emulsify gently in downward strokes and then dunk into clean water again to rinse.

If your extensions have become very knotty, dunk into water and use conditioner first (to untangle), shampoo gently then finish again with a small amount of conditioner.

Remember your rows are handmade and are held together by tiny knots so please be gentle with them.

Watch our ‘how to’ videos.

Q: How long will my Rows last?
Your Rows can last anywhere between 18 months to 2 years depending on how well you take care of them.

STYLING

Q: How do I dry my Rows?
Ideally, if you have time, lay them out to air-dry first, (heavy combing when wet, can damage the hair). If you are drying and styling them from wet, use a detangling spray or cream before combing. Blow-dry downward towards the ends to dry and only when 95 - 100% dry and tangle free can you start styling with your brushes and tongs etc.

Q: How do I style my Rows – Straight/Smooth?
On Dry hair. Use a large flat cushioned brush like a Mason and Pearson, to smooth and straighten (use a nozzle with your hairdryer). Always use heat protector products or smoothing creams/serums on the mid length to ends as you would your own hair. Spend an extra few seconds adding heat to the ends to make your tips smooth and shiny.

Q: How do I style my Rows  - Wavy

  1. If you want a BEACHY wave, wash and condition your Rows, use a water based serum or cream, air dry flat and you will find that they will naturally dry with a cool shaggy, beachy wave – easy!
  2. If you want to match your NATURAL CURL, you can spray your rows down with water, or dunk/wet them and clip them into your wet/damp hair, twist/clip-down and/or scrunch into your own curls, then diffuse or air dry as per usual.
  3. If you usually TONG your hair. On dry hair, clip your Rows into your hair and tong as per usual.
  4. If you usually style with a ROUND BRUSH, then make sure your Rows are tangle free, 95-100% dry, well conditioned and protected with a cream or serum then blow dry with a nozzle and round brush, twisting your hair into a curl to set into a ringlet form.

CUTTING.

Q: How do I cut my Rows?
We only recommend that you take your Rows to a senior or Master stylist who can then cut each weft to match your layers.

Our Guildlines:

1. Clip your rows into the correct positions in your hair. Choose a length & angle that you would like to aim for and then cut your Rows 2 inches LONGER than your desired length. (Doing this will make sure you do not cut your Rows too short) - REMEMBER: ONCE CUT TOO SHORT, THERE IS NO GOING BACK!

2. Take your Rows out of your hair and with sharp scissors, point cut up to 1 inch into the ends and brake-up the blunt edge (aim for a strand at a time).

This is very precise work and must not be rushed.

COLOUR

Q: How do I choose a colour?

Choose a colour that will match the darker shades in the underneath of your hair.

When choosing from our colour range, look at the darker shades within each picture as the guide to the darker shades in your own hair.

Q: How do I colour my Rows?
We only recommend that you take your Rows to a Senior or Master Colourist from a reputable salon. Someone with a huge amount of experience who you trust, who will be able to tone, highlight, or darken the roots for you.

THEY MUST ALWAYS STRAND TEST - to test how the the colour will take on the hair. Results will vary depending on the brand  and from Permentant to Semi-Perminant colours.

We will not be able to refund or exchange your Rows if this process goes wrong. We can however advise you, so please feel free to put any questions our way before you start this process.

Q: If I buy the wrong colour can I send it back?

Yes of course! Send it back to us, do not remove the security tag and we will send you another shade which is a better match.
